The growth of the Android market, the centralized app store for Google's mobile operating system, could not be more impressive. Relentless, the number of apps has been multiplied in the last couple of months. And by this time, the census tallies approximately more than 100,000 Android applications available in the Android marketplace.

Android therefore becomes the second mobile platform when it comes to the number of applications available, both free and paid. Of course, the top spot is still ruled by the App Store, the app store for iPhone (iPod Touch and iPad) which currently holds a whopping number of 300,000 applications.
