Last year, the blogging platform WordPress doubled in size, in terms of the number of users, reaching 18 million blogs in the month of March. This termination decision made by Google for Blogger's FTP support was actually announced three months ago to keep Blogger users aware and to give them time to migrate to either a custom domain or another blog platform.
