AOL creates a new competition for Google by launching its self-service ad management platform. The new AOL project is a beta version of Ad Desk that will help businesses and advertisers manage their own advertisements online with the use of media planning and analytical tools.

Twitter is now starting to line up with the biggest and fastest growing business platforms. The issue on how it can make money that has long been running since it was launched on 2006 is now being given enlightenment as Twitter officially announced that it will be releasing an advertising platform program called "Promoted Tweets".
