Social media continues to emerge as one of the primary sources of fast information and news. In fact, it is now considered as the main medium that carries a big impact on consumer behavior.

A lot of studies have proven that the majority of people online or nearly 84% use the social media to express something about themselves and to disclose facts and information about anything under the sun. Also, it turns out that there is a bigger increase in percentage to people who rely on online resources like searches and reviews as a part of their decision-making process.

The studies only prove that each individual in the social media community whether it is an opinion or reaction about a certain product, service, brand or whatsoever can become such a great influence to other people despite the fact that there really is no close contact between each other.

If this is analyzed intensively, marketers can use this study to reinvent their marketing attack and grab the opportunity to influence their target market and control consumer behavior using the social media. In order for your business to achieve that influencer standing, it is better to start by defining a few simple areas like the location in which people may have a high demand on your business and from there, it will be easier to launch your marketing attack.

In the world of business and advertising, having the ability to become flexible and dynamic is a requirement in order for your and your business to survive the ever changing competition.

Twitter is now starting to line up with the biggest and fastest growing business platforms. The issue on how it can make money that has long been running since it was launched on 2006 is now being given enlightenment as Twitter officially announced that it will be releasing an advertising platform program called "Promoted Tweets".

Initially, these promoted tweets will appear in the search results section every time a user search on a particular brand or trend related to the advertiser. These ads will later on appear in the timeline in which users can re-tweet and reply to the advertisement.

Twitter's Chief Operating Officer Dick Costolo said that they want to improve the manner of communication of companies to their customers on Twitter. The company will be focusing this year on the development and enhancement of this program and not yet on the profit goal.

Promoted Tweets gives companies the chance to engage with their customers and can enter into the picture when the thread goes negative.

This is a sweet opportunity for advertisers since they will be able to opt-in to this program, pay for tweets and benefit through revenue-sharing.
