Most people nowadays use the internet to find out today's trend or the hottest and latest buzz about someone or something and thus, the birth of real-time search engines. Real-time search engines are the newest form of Internet media that people use today to achieve real-time answers and results.

Unlike real-time search engines, the traditional search engine provides additional details and information to something that we know about. It provides the user every possible result that it can search all over the web regardless of the age of the link.

Real-time search engines, on the other hand have the ability to scout for status updates, comments and links that people post every day. You use a real-time search if you want to know "what's hot" or popular as of the moment as it gathers information about what others think about a certain topic. Take for instance during the past catastrophes that happened in several parts of the world, updates and news spread quickly because a lot of people have posted updates on Twitter and Facebook,  two sites contributing an important role in real time searches.

Since more social networks are now capable of posting status updates, a lot of real-time information will be posted each day.

Real-time search is catching the attention of people because of its speed and convenience. Not everyone is facing their television all the time to get news updates and information, but most of us frequently have access to the web and carry Internet-capable devices which make it more convenient and fast to get updates about a certain topic or trend.

Two of the world's biggest search engines in the web, Google and Bing, have launched quite a number of improvements and new interfaces on their respective platforms. These changes not only target individuals for their personal use, but also for businesses and campaign groups to better market and advertise their services online.

One of the biggest innovations to these search engines is the addition of Twitter features on their searches.

Because of the overwhelming success of Twitter in the Internet world (which is rank second to the most popular search engines), Google has incorporated Twitter on its search interface. When doing searches on Google, you will be able to dig down on the Twitter archives as well. This is a clever move for Google in widening its pool of resources because Twitter's real time capability will help in providing a better search on Google.

Bing, on the other hand also incorporated Twitter on its search results. They have created a new feature that lets you search tweets from Twitter users. Bing also displays the hottest trends and topics on Twitter.

The search engines are becoming even more powerful and accurate these days because of these merging into other social networking sites. Well as they say, "two heads are better than one."

Over the past weekend, Google finally unveils its first Toolbar Page Rank update this 2010 for websites. Most webmasters, as always, were surprised on this Easter treat from Google because some improved their ranks, others dropped off and there are always those whose ranks remained just the same.

A lot of site owners always have questions in their minds, like on what really is the criteria of Google in ranking a website, and what does it take to get penalized? Obviously, Google will never become that open when it comes to sharing to the World Wide Web on what things do they look for when raking a site. However, a lot of analysts and SEO experts dedicated their time into researching and gathering information to formulate educated guesses about this issue and attempted to unfold this Google mystery. Being well informed about these speculations might help you and your site achieve better performance in Google's criteria for ranking.

When your site gets penalized and dropped its Toolbar Page Rank, it means that something unfavorable to Google is being practiced on your site. The best thing to do to avoid being penalized is by reviewing the rules and regulations of Google found on its Webmaster Tools site. Some of the no-no's highlighted on the sites are keyword stuffing, cloaking (or any irrelevant or disgusting content), paid advertisements which link to site with poor credibility and link buying.

Google's Page Rank is really important especially to business owners and webmasters who market and advertise their products and services online as most people rely on Google when they do searches, so it is really beneficial if Google crawls your site. It takes a lot of effort, and sometimes time before a site gets its fruits of success on its search engine performance. And for Google, all it takes is credibility and compliance before it rewards trust to a web site.
