Facebook, the number one social network in the world will be holding a press conference on Monday for the rumored launching of the Facebook e-mail service. Facebook having more than 500 million registered users as according to analysts could surpass and dethrone the big email leaders such as Gmail, Hotmail and Yahoo mail.
While email continues to be the most commonly used communication network, social networking sites such as Facebook and Twitter have replaced some of this use through their own messaging systems.
Windows Live's Hotmail currently has approximately 361 million users worldwide, followed by Yahoo Mail and Gmail with 273 and 193 million respectively.
